Turkey’s ruling party ready for coalition government creation

Baku, Azerbaijan, June 8
By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:
Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party stands ready for formation of a coalition government, and currently it is early to talk about holding parliamentary election once again, TRT Haber news channel quoted the deputy prime minister, Numan Kurtulmus, as saying on June 8.
Kurtulmus, however, didn’t reveal with which political party can Turkey’s ruling party form a coalition government.
He said Turkey’s Justice and Development Party stands committed to the principles of democracy.
Kurtulmus also said the statement made by Turkey’s opposition parties about their unwillingness to form a coalition government with the Justice and Development Party is spontaneous.
On Sunday, June 7, Turkey held parliamentary election, which involved 20 political parties. Some 53,765,231 people cast their votes in the election.
The voting results in Turkey’s June 7 parliamentary election are as follows: the ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9 percent of the vote, the Republican People’s Party (CHP) – 25 percent, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) – 16.3 percent, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) – 13.1 percent.
