Transport ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan to meet today

Bishkek, May 17, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Gulmira Abdraliyeva will make a working trip to Osh Oblast of the republic today. Following the visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan, as part of agreements to develop and expand cooperation between the two countries, Abdraliyeva will meet with Uzbek Minister of Transport Ilhom Makhamov at Dostuk checkpoint at the border with Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan said Monday. "Further, the delegations will tour, study and examine the Osh-Sarytash-Irkeshtam road. They will also see the work of the Irkeshtam checkpoint, where they will get acquainted with the ongoing work on the development of Kashgar-Irkeshtam-Osh-Andijan-Tashkent multimodal transport corridor and visit the Chiyirchyk, Taldyk, Tonmurun passes and Sary-Tash point. In addition, the transport ministers will discuss the prospect of cooperation in the framework of agreements on the development and expansion of cooperation between the two countries," the report said.
