Top Iranian officials cast their votes at parliamentary elections

Azerbaijan, Baku, May 4 / Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/ Top Iranian officials have cast their votes at the second round of country's parliamentary elections, Irib News reported. Among the officials who cast their votes are country's Intelligence minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar, Iranian Guardian Council Chairman Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, ex Iranian president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani, Ayatollah Abbas Vaez Tabasi, Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani and others. The second round of parliamentary elections began in Iran at 08:00 local time today, which will continue until 18:00. According to the law, the parliamentary elections must last 10 hours, but if there is a need, the interior minister may extend the voting time. Overall, 130 candidates from 33 constituencies of Iran will participate in the elections. Among 130 candidates, 65 will be elected into the country's parliament. The first meeting of the Iranian parliament is planned to be held on the seventh date of Khordad month 1391 in Islamic calendar (May 27, 2012). Do you have any feedback?
