"Thaksin" takes legal actions against "Abhisit"

BANGKOK, May 18 (TNA) - Robert Amsterdam, a lawyer of exiled ex-Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, confirmed on Friday that he is pressing charges against former Thai Democrat prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva allegedly for causing the death of 91 people relating to pro-Thaksin red-shirt demonstrations two years ago. Amsterdam said that the International Criminal Court would then decide within a few weeks whether it would accept the lawsuit he had filed against Abhisit, vowing if the court does not accept the case, he will try all other means to take legal actions against the former Democrat Thai Abhisit. In response to the Thai Constitution Court's ruling earlier in the day to disqualify Jatuporn Promphan, a red-clad core leader, as an MP of the ruling Puea Thai Party of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Thaksin's youngest sister, on ground that he was not qualified to apply as a Puea Thai candidate in the country's latest general election, Amsterdam said that he would also file complaints with organizations against the Thai court decision and would announce that justice did not exist in Thailand.
