Thai PM to visit Cambodia July 13
BANGKOK, July 10 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is scheduled to visit neighbouring Cambodia on July 13 to attend a seminar on transportation networks in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Julapong Nonchaisri confirmed Tuesday Yingluck's planned visit to Cambodia to attend the regional seminar, to be jointly organized in the Cambodian Siem Reap province by the US Department of State, the US Chamber of Commerce and the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce.
Julapong told reporters that Yingluck was invited by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to attend the seminar and to meet with US business operators in Cambodia, affirming that the Thai prime minister's upcoming trip to Cambodia will be free of interest in an unsettled marine border area between Thailand and Cambodia.
According to the vice minister, the Thai premier will also have a bilateral discussion with her Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen during her visit to Siem Reap late this week. (TNA)
