Talks on delimitation and demarcation of Kyrgyz-Uzbek border kick off in Tashkent

Bishkek, March 24, 2021 . / Kabar / . Talks between governmental delegations on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border have begun in the city of Tashkent, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported. The Kyrgyz delegation is headed by Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiyev and delegation of Uzbekistan is led by Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. The meeting will discuss the delimitation of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. During a state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan, the heads of the two countries agreed to intensify the work of the government delegations, which is expected to be completed in the near future.
