Suicide attack kills one in Iraqi Ramadi

Tehran, Jan 3, IRNA – A suicide bomber blown up himself on Tuesday at a checkpoint in Ramadi, the western Iraqi province of Anbar killing a soldier and injuring a civilian, spokesman of Iraqi Interior Ministry Saad Maan said on Tuesday according to Iraqi media. Violence and terrorist attacks have been escalated across Iraq, particularly the capital Baghdad, over the past three days. Terrorist groups carried out six operations in Baghdad on Monday by means of bomb-laden cars and another ones by explosive packages. At least 64 civilians were killed in terrorist attacks in the Iraqi capital on Monday. The terrorist attacks in recent days are due to humiliating defeats imposed on the terrorists by the Iraqi forces in Nineveh Governorate.
