SPEAKER VISITS BROOKINGS INSTITUTION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker Z.Enkhbold legged the Brookings Institution March 20 within his official visit to the USA. At a meeting with a director of the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies of its center, Richard C.Bush, he thanked the institute for involving Mongolians in its annual "Visiting Fellows Program", and expressed an interest in implementing together with it scientific-and-reseach studies, especially a program for our reseachers in Mongolia. Mr Z.Enkhbold said Mongolia has institutions, obliged to develop the state policies, "but they just have begun developing, so a cooperation with Brookings institution would be desirable for us in boosting them." For example, Mongolia's Institute for Strategic Studies wants to find the U.S. reseachers who are willing to join its permanent discussion mechanism created to consider geopolitical, strategic and policy planning with researchers ans scientists of Russia, China and Eastern Asia, he said. He informed the US side that a plan is ready to gather strategic studies and security scientists from partner institutions of Russia, China, North and South Koreas and Japan to have consider ways of restoring “The six-party talks", and asked the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies to find the U.S. institution which has an interest to participate in it.
