Slovenia interested in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in number of areas

On the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Stockholm, Sweden, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held a meeting with Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Anže Logar, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said. The Slovenian side expressed interest in intensifying cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and in this regard noted the importance of creating an intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation between the two countries. In terms of trade and investment cooperation, hydropower and pharmaceuticals are identified as promising areas. Kazakbaev invited Anže Logar to visit Kyrgyzstan with a proposal to hold a joint business forum. In order to expand the range of bilateral cooperation, Ruslan Kazakbaev handed over to the Slovenian side draft agreements on cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, tourism, education and science, agriculture, health, environmental protection.
