Seven more servicemen arrested in Turkey

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 25 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / The third wave of arrests among the servicemen has occurred in the Turkish cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir today, Sabah newspaper reported. Seven servicemen were arrested, including retired General Fevzi Turkeri. The arrests were carried out within the investigation of the criminal case on the events of February 28, 1997. According to it, several servicemen are charged with the preparation to overthrow the Turkish government and the partial or complete obstruction for the government to fulfill its functions.
