Rodong Sinmun Slams Obama for Trumpeting about "Building of World without Nuclear Weapons"

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Obama's initiative for "building a world without nuclear weapons" is no more than a smokescreen for carrying out the U.S. strategy for nuclear monopoly and the one for dominating the world as it is aimed to turn the whole world into the "world where there exist its nukes only" and the "world dominated by its nukes," says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an article. The article goes on: The U.S., regarding nuclear weapons as means for realizing its ambition to dominate the world, has steadily developed and produced new type nuclear weapons and stepped up their modernization by spending a stupendous amount of funds at present. It is the plan of the U.S. Department of Defense to modernize all its nuclear arsenals by spending about one trillion dollars in three decades to come. Having put the DPRK on the list of preemptive nuclear strike, the U.S. nuclear war maniacs are now threatening to mount a preemptive nuclear attack upon it without any prior warning. Without strong war deterrent, it is absolutely impossible to beat back the U.S. aggression and state-sponsored terrorism. No matter how vociferously Obama touts his initiative "for building a world without nuclear weapons," this will only disclose the U.S. sinister hegemonic purpose.
