Representatives of MFA of Kyrgyzstan and Germany discuss state of bilateral relations

Bishkek, May 21, 2021. / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev held an online meeting with State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Niels Annen, during which the issues of the current state and prospects of development of Kyrgyz-German relations were discussed. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the sides paid special attention to the issues of trade and economic cooperation and the need to restart trade, economic and investment interaction in the post-like period. The sides also stressed the importance of holding the First EU-CA Economic Forum and discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations. A constructive exchange of views took place on the Green Central Asia Initiative of the German Foreign Ministry, which is aimed at sustainable development of the Central Asian region in the face of global climate change. The Kyrgyz side thanked the German government for its support in the fight against COVID-19, during which German doctors visited twice, provided assistance in the form of PCR tests and other medical supplies, and the possibility of supplying vaccines is being considered. Niyazaliev informed Annen about the internal political transformations in the country and the current situation in Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan.
