Pupils from Kyrgyzstan win medals at Int’l Chemistry Olympiad

Kyrgyz pupils won prizes at the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Nadira Dzhusupbekova told a news briefing Tuesday. This year's intellectual competition was supposed to take place in Budapest, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided to hold it online. Teams from 20 countries took place at the Olympiad. "Nursultan Soodanbekov, a 10th grade pupil won a silver award, and Kubanychbek Kamil won a bronze one. Kamil Mambetov took the third place, also winning a bronze medal," she added. On behalf of education minister, Dzhusupbekova congratulated the pupils on the victory.
