Prospects for development of Kyrgyz-Indian relations discussed in Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Jan. 12, 2021. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent hosted a meeting of Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan Ibrahim Junusov and India Manish Prabhat. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan, the two ambassadors discussed the prospects for development of Kyrgyz-Indian relations. The Kyrgyz ambassador congratulated his Indian counterpart on appointment and wished him success in future work in Uzbekistan. For his part, Manish Prabhat extended congratulations to Ibrahim Junusov on successful holding early presidential elections and the appointment of Sadyr Zhaparov to the post of president of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation, and briefly discussed the current interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the trade and economic sphere and within international organizations. At the end of the meeting, the ambassadors expressed hope for the continuation of close cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and India in all areas of mutual interest.
