Prosecutor general of Kyrgyzstan takes part in international symposium in Turkey

Bishkek, Sept. 3, 2021. / Kabar /. The Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Kurmankul Zulushev, at the invitation of Chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation, Mehmet Akarj, took part in an official event with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on September 1-2, 2021. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic said that as part of his visit to Turkey, Zulushev made a presentation at an international symposium on the occasion of the opening of the 2021-2022 year of justice in Turkey and spoke about the ongoing and upcoming reforms in the system of the prosecutor's office of the Kyrgyz Republic. The conference was attended by the chairmen of the Supreme Courts and Prosecutors General of Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Uzbekistan, Qatar, and other states. Also, the Kyrgyz prosecutor general held a number of bilateral meetings with Chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Turkey with Akarzha, as well as with the Prosecutor General Shahin. During the meetings, the sides drew attention to the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation, including the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of criminal justice, as well as in key areas of prosecutorial activities. In addition, issues were raised on the resumption of short-term training courses for employees of the prosecutor's office of the Kyrgyz Republic in educational institutions of Turkey.
