PRIME MINISTER N.ALTANKHUYAG VISITS OUR AGENCY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In times of rising interest of many countries to Mongolia, the Mongolian National news agency MONTSAME has been a main channel of distributing real and official information to the foreign market, the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag said during his visit to the agency on Thursday. Having a motto "Bringing Mongolia to the world--Bringing the world to Mongolia", the agency produces every day some 120 pieces of news in Mongolian, English, Russian, Chinese and Japanese languages in both printed and online forms. As a member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) Leading Council, the agency directly cooperates with a network news agencies of world countries, and prepared by the MONTSAME news are distributed worldwide. "Foreign audience is interested in news about Mongolia, especially the politics, mining, investment and business environment, so we must keep the international standards in order to provide them with necessary non-stop information, but our technologies need to be updated and the capacity to be improved," the agency's Director-General A.Baatarkhuyag said. The Prime Minister underlined that the agency plays a main role in delivering news and overviews about Mongolian state policy to foreign countries as well as in propagandizing Mongolia, particularly in eliminating wrong or negative image of Mongolia. Mr Altankhuyag backed a proposal to update the technologies and facilities and said the Government will support the MONTSAME agency. B.Khuder
