President of Turkmenistan approves new government appointments

Azerbaijan, Baku, March 9 / Trend V.Zhavoronkova/ President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has appointed Saparmyrata Batyrov deputy minister of textiles for construction, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported. Berdymuhamedov also approved the composition of a number of joint intergovernmental commissions from the Turkmen side. The composition of the Turkmen-Korean commission on trade-economic and scientific and technological cooperation was approved with the appointment of Turkmenistan's deputy prime minister of the oil and gas industry, chemical industry and Fisheries as its co-chairman. Turkmenistan's deputy prime minister also became head of the Turkmen-Kazakh Commission for economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation. The Turkmen deputy prime minister for transport and communications was appointed co-chairman of the Turkmen-Georgian commission on economic cooperation. Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan was appointed co-chairman of the Turkmen-Saudi intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation. He was also appointed co-chairman of the Turkmen-Uzbek intergovernmental commission for trade and economic, scientific-technical and cultural co-operation and co-chair of the relevant inter-governmental commission on cooperation with Egypt.
