President Sadyr Zhaparov to pay visit to India in 2022

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2021 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will visit India in January 2022. This became known during a meeting between Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and India Subramanyam Jaishankar.
The meeting took place as part of Ruslan Kazakbaev’s participation in the India-Central Asia Ministerial Dialogue on Dec. 19 in New Delhi, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Monday.
During the talks, the ministers discussed a wide range of bilateral agenda of Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation, including political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian partnership.
"The sides paid special attention to the preparation of the upcoming visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to India in January 2022 as part of participation in the India-Central Asia Summit. The Indian side expressed interest in taking India's bilateral relations with the countries of Central Asia to a higher level of cooperation," the report said.
Kazakbaev drew special attention to the importance of holding all planned bilateral events, especially the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as events within the framework of the cross-cultural year of Kyrgyzstan in India and India in Kyrgyzstan.
In order to enhance trade and economic cooperation, the two ministers agreed to hold a number of Kyrgyz-Indian business forums both in Kyrgyzstan and India, to accelerate the approval of the terms of a USD 200 million credit line, to implement joint projects under the grant assistance of the Indian government, including the establishment of an educational IT center in Bishkek at one of the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Kazakbaev and Jaishankar discussed in detail issues related to expanding military-technical cooperation.
The foreign minister of India expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for its support and participation in the India-Central Asia Ministerial Dialogue. He noted that the support of the Kyrgyz side to the proposal to hold the India-CA Summit is a clear indication of the high level of the Kyrgyz-Indian bilateral relations of strategic partnership.
