Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Mr Ts. Elbegdorj received the Premier of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe on March 30.
The leader of Mongolia expressed a gratitude to Mr Abe for paying the official visit and said it shows an importance the Japanese people and government attach to the Japan-Mongolia relationship.
He said the Mongolians warmly received and spread in all media Mr Abe's letter, prior to the visit delivered through Japan's MP Shiozaki to Mongolia's Premier.
While meeting with the Emperor of Japan and with many high official in frames of a state visit to Japan in 2010, the President and the Japanese side had agreed to promote the ties to the strategic level, said Mr Elbegdorj. “Now You suggest developing this partnership on the three concepts as the democracy, peace and mutual help and activating it more in several directions such as politics, security, economics, peoples' and cultural ties, and we all fully agree with You,” he said.
It has been said many times that Mongolia with its wealthy resources and Japan with hi tech can develop a complementary cooperation, and now it is time to realize it, said the President.
In response, the Japanese Premier Mr Abe said he, similar to the Mongolian leader, thinks that our countries should have a politics and security strategic agreement. Japan and Mongolia have been contributing to ensuring peace and stability in the regional and international arenas, Mongolia' contribution to the development of the democracy is great, he said and thanked Mongolia for supporting an organization in November last year the Japan-North Korea intergovernmental negotiations in Ulaanbaatar.
Mr Abe said the economic ties should be strengthened, for example, through the “Dynamics" initiative, put by the Japanese side to the Mongolian PM, besides, the business relationship are also important, and a stabilized law environment is vital for Japanese companies in their investing Mongolia, he underlined.
The President said the Mongolians greatly appreciate Japan's help in expanding secondary schools' buildings.
