President of Azerbaijan opens Gazakhbayli-Ashaghi Salahli motorway

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 12 / Trend President of Azerbaijan on April 12 opened Gazakhbayli-Ashaghi Salahli motorway as part of his visit to Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. The Head of State met with builders. He has congratulated a group of builders who have been awarded honorary titles in accordance with Presidential Order signed April 10. President then viewed a scheme reflecting the reconstruction of road systems in Gazakh region. Transport minister Ziya Mammadov told President Ilham Aliyev that the new motorway will provide high quality link between 3 villages with total population of 5,000. The second project, Yukhari Salahli-Kamarli motorway will connect 4 villages. The main part of the works has been already completed on the road. The third project includes reconstruction of the 53-km-long Agstafa-Poylu-Georgia highway. President Ilham Aliyev cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the new motorways.
