PMs of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus discuss development of bilateral relations

Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2021 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov held talks with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko as part of his working visit to Yerevan (Armenia) to participate in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of Kyrgyz-Belarusian relations in various areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
The head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet noted the country is interested in deepening cooperation in a wide range of areas. In particular, in the supply of municipal and agricultural machinery, public transport, as well as in industrial cooperation.
"We are interested in providing Bishkek with Belarusian buses. Recently mayor of the capital visited Minsk and we gave him the right to conclude a contract for the supply of buses. We know the quality of Belarusian products," said Akylbek Zhaparov.
In turn, Roman Golovchenko congratulated the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers on his appointment, adding that the countries are successfully implementing joint production projects.
The Belarusian side expressed readiness to launch projects related to the production of a wide range of devices, including for the energy sector.
The sides agreed to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian cooperation in the nearest future.
Akylbek Zhaparov stressed the importance of intensifying bilateral cooperation and invited Belarusian PM Roman Golovchenko to visit Kyrgyzstan.
