Permanent representative of Kyrgyzstan to UN and director general of WIPO meet in Geneva

Bishkek, July 2, 2021. / Kabar /. Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva Almaz Beishenaliev met in Geneva with Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. During the meeting, the permanent representative informed the WIPO director general about the current internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan, including the large-scale socio-economic reforms carried out by the leadership of Kyrgyzstan in the country, including support measures for youth and the creation of business incubators at the country's universities. In this regard, an agreement was reached on practical assistance from WIPO in the implementation of specific projects in Kyrgyzstan in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, culture, as well as projects related to advanced training in the field of intellectual property. The WIPO director general thanked the permanent representative for the detailed information on the ongoing reforms in Kyrgyzstan, assuring that WIPO will continue its full cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of intellectual property. At the end of the meeting, Beishenaliev expressed gratitude to Tang for the assistance provided to Kyrgyzstan by WIPO and invited him to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.
