Palestine Intl Conference Opens In Tehran

Tehran, July 29, IRNA – An international conference on Palestine started work here Monday with participation of world cultural figures as well as representatives of Islamic states and Palestinian Jihad Movement. The conference is being held with collaboration of Iran's Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) and Majlis committee on supporting Palestines Intifada. Advisor to the Supreme Leader in the International Affairs Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, Head of the ICRO Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad and Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian are also present in the conference. The Palestine international conference is being held in the Iranian capital ahead of International Quds Day, the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, on August 2 this year. The conference is to review developments of the two-year Islamic Awakening in the Middle East and North Africa. The gathering is planned to focus on the importance of resistance dialogue in order to foil conspiracies of the bullying powers aimed at misleading the movements of independent Muslim nations./end
