Othman: Kurdistan's Dependence On Turkey To Export Oil Is Dangerous And Incorrect

BAGHDAD / NINA / The Kurdish independent MP, Mahmoud Othman called the federal and provincial governments to conduct a direct dialogue to resolve the problem of exporting oil of Kurdistan through Turkish territory, describing Kurdistan's dependence on Turkey to export oil danger and incorrect." He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / Turkey has taken a decision to export region's oil and sold in global markets , but Kurdistan region cannot depend on the Turkish decision , because it could change at any moment , describing the region's dependence to export oil to Turkey as danger and not correct, adding "The U.S. State Department confirmed yesterday that it does not support export oil without the consent of the federal government, which means there is dissatisfaction with some of the parties in this action, therefore the Federal government and Kurdistan must hold direct dialogue because it is the only way to solve the problems relating to the export of oil ." Othman said , "The problem of exporting oil will affect the talks between the blocs to form the next government , but it can resolve some problems during these dialogues , pointing out "the next parliament must approve oil and gas law inactivated more than three years. The Iraqi Ministry of Oil held Turkey legal consequences on the sale of oil from province of Kurdistan. The spokesman of the Iraqi Oil Ministry , Assem Jihad said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINS / : " KRG's exporting oil to Turkey is illegally and Turkey bears all the legal consequences of that." The Turkish Energy Minister, Taner Yildiz said in a press statement that "the first shipment of Kurdistan region's oil export transmitted via its new pipelines to Turkey was sold to Italy and Germany , noting that the shipment is about 1.05 million barrels. The Iraqi oil ministry announced yesterday evening that it filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government for its export oil without the approval of the central government . Meanwhile, the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that it is proceeding with the export of oil , despite opposition from the central government . / End
