Opening of Iranian trading house in Bishkek discussed at MFA of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investments of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received Iranian Ambassador Said Kharrazi on Wednesday.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting the Iranian side conveyed Kazakbaev an official invitation to visit Iran on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein - Amir Abdollahiyan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the state of bilateral Kyrgyz-Iranian relations, as well as priority areas of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran, including the opening of an Iranian trading house in Bishkek, the opening of a new railway corridor Iran-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan using the transit capabilities of the seaport of Bender- Abbas, the development of tourism links and an increase in the frequency and number of flights operating between the two countries, as well as the participation of the Iranian side in the implementation of hydropower projects in Kyrgyzstan.
Kazakbaev invited Iranian companies to invest in priority sectors of the Kyrgyz economy, including in the development of tourism infrastructure in Issyk-Kul region.
On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Ruslan Kazakbaev proposed holding a number of joint anniversary events in 2022 in Kyrgyzstan and Iran, including days of culture, cinema, music and folklore festivals, sports competitions, scientific and practical conferences, business forums with the participation of figures of culture, science, sports and business circles of the two countries.
The year of the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations will also be marked by mutual official visits of the delegations of the two countries, the parties will hold the 13th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission in Bishkek.
At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for the development of the situation in Afghanistan and expressed their firm readiness to continue joint and coordinated efforts aimed at establishing peace in this country, as well as ensuring stability and security in the region as a whole.
