O.OCH MEETS WITH UNDP ADMINISTRATOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations O.Och has shared views with Ms Helen Clark, the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the bilateral relations and cooperation. Ms Clark expressed satisfaction with a successful implementation of projects and programmes by the UNDP in Mongolia. She is also satisfied with improvement of women's participation at the decision-making level and increasing of women MPs quota at Mongolia's parliament, and then affirmed that she supports the International Think Tank for Developing Landlocked Countries. In turn, Mr Och spoke about measures Mongolia has been taking as the chairing of the Community of Democracies (CoD), and about a preparation for the Ministerial Conference of the CoD to run April this year in Ulaanbaatar. In addition, O.Och emphasized that Mongolia wants to participate in activities of a working group that determines developmental goals after 2015. Here, the sides agreed to reflect together the good governance issues in these developmental goals. B.Khuder
