OIC condemns violation of Iranian airspace by U.S. spy drone

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has released a statement condemning the recent violation of Iranian airspace by a U.S. spy drone, MNA reported. The statement expressed deep concern over the occurrence of the incident, saying such actions will negatively affect the sensitive situation in the region. It also called for efforts to be made to prevent any action that could undermine peace, security, and stability in the region. On December 18, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced that Iran has sent letters to the United Nations, the OIC, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international organizations over the violation of Iranian airspace, calling for condemnation of the U.S. incursion.
