N.UDVAL MEETS WHO DIRECTOR DR. CHAN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister for Health N.Udval met the Director-General of the World Health Organization /WHO/ Dr Margaret Chan on January 25 on fields of the 132nd WHO Executive Board Session. Ms Udval said Mongolia supports a WHO reform being made under management of Dr Chan, and spoke about an action plan of a new government for reforms, especially its activities in the health sphere. The sides talked about ways of providing a security for patients and medicaments and introducing a risk management. The Minister requested an assistance from the WHO in strengthening capacity of Mongolian senior authority. Dr Chan said all these requests are received, and promised to give a possible support. Then Dr Chan asked Ms Udval how her Ministry arranges prompt medical care service. The Minister confirmed that Dr Chan has been invited to Mongolia with a visit this year. Dr Chan appreciated the invitation and said the dates would be fixed through diplomatic channels. Ch.Enkhtuya
