New Libyan ambassador hopes Turkey to continue economic growth

TRIPOLI (A.A) – December 19, 2011 – Libya's newly appointed ambassador to Turkey Abdulrezzak Mukhtar Abdulkadir expressed hope that Turkey would pursue its current economic growth.
I hope Turkey catches a growth trend like China and India did, and a Muslim unity will be shaped up together in the world, added Abdulkadir who made his first interview with the AA before he began his term in office on January 1, 2012.
Abdulkadir said that Turkey undertook important missions during the recent developments in the Middle East, adding that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was the leader of Islamic countries.
Turkey undertook a great role for solution of problems that emerged in any Islamic countries such as Somalia, Libya, Syria or Egypt, said Abdulkadir.
He added that relations between Turkey and Libya were rooted in the past.
Noting that Turkish-Libyan relations were based not only on brotherhood but also on economic and political unity, Abdulkadir said that they, together with Erdogan and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, would build a bridge between the two countries.
Abdulkadir said that there were currently many Turkish companies operating in Libya, adding that the trade volume between Turkey and Libya would further develop in the future.
