Negotiations of Kyrgyz, Turkish foreign ministers taking place in Bishkek

Bishkek, March 10, 2021 . / Kabar /. A meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu took place on Wednesday in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek.
Minister Cavusoglu has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.
Earlier, he was received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
During the narrow format talk at the Ala-Archa state residence, Minister Kazakbaev said Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are brotherly countries with common history, language and roots.
He recalled that Turkey was the first to recognize Kyrgyzstan's independence.
"And this time, after the short political crises following the elections, you were the first to invite me to Turkey for a working visit. You provided a lot of help. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a lot of support from the Turkish side," the Kyrgyz minister noted.
In turn, Mevlut Cavusoglu noted Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are truly brotherly countries.
"Great importance is attached to the development of bilateral relations. We are doing our best to develop political, economic and cultural relations. Your visit to Turkey was sincere and productive. In response to your visit, I visited Kyrgyzstan," he said.
The Turkish foreign minister said he has arrived to discuss a high-level interstate meeting on cooperation between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan with the participation of leaders of the two countries.
"Today our delegation will discuss preparations for this event. A meeting of the Turkish-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission with participation of vice president of Turkey and prime minister of Kyrgyzstan will take place in the near future. A business forum will also be held within this Intergovernmental Commission," Cavusoglu added.
