NAM support from Iran nuclear programme booked

Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 28 / Trend D.Khatinoglu/ Iran representative to International Atomic Energy Agency Ali-Asghar Soltanieh announced that a book including Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) members support for Iran's nuclear programme has been published, ISNA reported on Tuesday. Soltanieh announced this during the 16th summit of NAM in Tehran saying the book is composed of all NAM's statements about Iran's nuclear programme from 2003 to 2012. "World opinion would be enhanced and made aware about Iran's nuclear realities," he added. The 16th summit of NAM members, with participating 120 countries' representatives including 50 presidents, vice-presidents and primer ministers kicked off in Tehran on Sunday. Iran says the foreign ministerial level part of the summit will be held on Wednesday. The heads level summit also will start on Thursday. Soltanieh said that Iran never suspended its nuclear programme, including enrichment of uranium even for one minute. "IAEA has not proven, or shown credible evidence about the alleged military, related nuclear activities in Iran for 10 years," he said. According to his statements, Iran has cooperated completely with IAEA and Agency's inspectors have visited Iran's nuclear facilities whenever they wished. Soltanieh emphasised that NAM representatives has visited Iran's nuclear facilities twice in 2007 and 2011. NAM is an international organisation that brings together 120 countries in the world on the principles of non-participation of military blocs. NAM was officially established by 25 states at the Belgrade Conference in September 1961. The movement's establishment was preceded by the Bandung Conference in 1955. Negotiations over Iran's disputed nuclear programme have continued since 2002, when the country's Iran's hidden uranium enrichment centre Natanz was revealed. Until now, the UN Security Council has adopted four rounds of sanctions on Iran to curb the country's nuclear policy and sensitive nuclear activities, but Iran has announced it will keep its nuclear activities. The West suspects Iran is going to make nuclear weapon, but Iran rejects this accusation calling its activities "peaceful". The EU and the U.S. has adopted tightened sanctions over Iran's banking and oil sector which has led to a halving of the country's oil export to 1.1 mbpd. Do you have any feedback?
