N.ALTANKHUYAG MEETS UNCTAD DIRECTOR-GENERAL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag received Monday Mr Supachai Panitchpakdi, the Director-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The visitor said that a joint team--Mongolia's Ministry of Economic Development and the UNCTAD--worked out together a report about the investment environment of Mongolia. It reflects issues such economics diversity, adjustment of economic structure that depends on mining, investments' flow to regions of Mongolia, elimination of investment source's dependence on one country. The Premier thanked Mr Panitchpakdi for analyzing Mongolia's investment policy and for giving advice, and said his government is focusing on investing the spheres able to produce the national brand products--cashmere, wool, leather, dairy and meat products, and tourism.
