"Nalinee" starts work at Government House

BANGKOK, January 28 (TNA) - Thailand's newly-appointed Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Nalinee Taveesin started her work at Bangkok's Government House on Friday. Executives of the National Economic and Social Advisory Council paid an immediate courtesy call on Nalinee to congratulate her for her new appointment. Nalinee, who has been allegedly blacklisted by the US Department of Treasury, told reporters that she expected no problems with her office because she had already clarified her status, saying that any accusation should be based on facts and people should adhere to facts and the rule of laws. Nalinee, who completed her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in the United States, denied she was involved in any arms trade, claiming that such an accusation could be made endlessly and she could not cope with all of them, but she would like to, instead, apply her knowledge and experiences for national and public interest. Nalinee insisted that she was determined to work at her best for the country, saying she did not think the criticisms against her would affect the Thai government and urging the opposition to judge her from her work.
