MPS BACK FIRST DISCUSSION OF PACKAGE LAW ON COURT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its plenary meeting on Thursday, the parliamentary session confined a discussion to some draft laws and draft amendments to laws. The package law has draft amendments to the laws on rule on maintaining the package law on court, initiated by the President, also on court, on court administration, on legal status of a judge and a lawyer, on mediation, and on legal status of civil representative in court. MPs agreed to run a first discussion of the package and decided to transfer it to a final discussion. Last week, a plenary session backed a matter on bringing closer a force date of the package law, therefore it will come into force on April 15 this year. By implementing this package, the court reform will be fortified and the court transparency will be ensured. The main aim of the package law is also to make the court's workload suitable and to let truly realize principles of the Constitution on fair tackling of cases and disputes in ways of preparing judges majoring in specific fields and making the court's budget and administration more independent.
