Mottaki, Turkmenistan deputy FM consider bilateral ties

Tehran, Dec 23, IRNA - Turkmenistan Deputy Foreign Minister Hajiev Vafa in a meeting with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here Monday discussed ways to develop cooperation in consular, economic and tourism fields.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, Mottaki
called Iran and Turkmenistan as two neighbors with plenty of
commonalities and the same interests and concerns.

Further activation of consular ties would be an important element in
developing economic relations between the two countries , Mottaki added.

Iran by having strong industrial companies and noticeable abilities in
the field of export, engineering and technical services can be
effective in Turkmenistan growing economy.

Hajiev Vafa, who is in Tehran to attend the sixth meeting of joint
economic commission, presented a report on negotiations and said the
talks were in a positive atmosphere and important steps were taken to
facilitate consular affairs.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of
border, customs and consular affairs were signed in 17 articles by
Hajiev Vafa and Iran's deputy FM in Consular Affairs Mr.Shahidi.
