MONGOLIAN STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ISFIT IN NORWAY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Students of School of Economic studies of Mongolia's National University have participated in international students festival (ISFiT). The action took place February 7-17 in Trondheim, Norway. Mongolia was represented by P.Dagvadorj, E.Dolgoon, students of the School of Economic studies, and O.Bayarsaikhan, a student from Shinshu university of Japan. The ISFIT ran themed "Global Trade" gathering over 450 students from all over the world. Thet attended 17 workshops and took part in the festival's culture program. The ISFiT-2013 has defined global trade as legal and illegal exchange of goods, services, labour, capital and financial instruments. By this definition, international trade encompasses issues that are both the reason for, and the consequence of, such exchanges. They have discussed solutions to issues of international trade in a long-term perspective. ISFiT is a non-profit organization and is brought to life with the efforts of more than 400 student volunteers. ISFiT 2013's vision is to create a better future for young people in the world. By being a meeting place where people can discuss and debate, ISFiT aims at fostering inspiration and at being a starting point for international cooperation amongst students. Through the years, ISFiT has hosted a wide range of renowned personalities. Past speakers include His Holiness the Dalai Lama, former Director-General of WHO Gro Harlem Brundtland, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Dr. José Ramos-Horta, Professor Wangari Maathai and Desmond Tutu.
