MONGOLIA ANNULS DEBT OF CUBA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has zeroed the debt of Cuba. An intergovernmental agreement on annulling the Cuban debt was signed last Friday in Havana city, Cuba, by O.Davaasambuu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Cuba, and by Rene Lazo Fernandez, the president of the National Bank of Cuba. Accordingly, the Mongolian side settled Cuba's debt of 798 thousand and 074.03 convertible Roubles which had been created in the barter deals between the governments of Mongolia and Cuba until the year 1990. The government of Mongolia is prioritizing the Mongolia-Cuba traditional friendly ties. "Now that the debt has been annulled, our relationship will be elevated into a newer level and continued in mutually beneficial and equal conditions," Mr Davaasambuu and Fernandez underlined during the ceremony. The Cuban side trains 2-3 Mongolian students in its universities and institutes a year, has donated 10,000 dozes of frozen sperm of milk-breed goats in frames of the agricultural collaboration, moreover, the Cuban coaches have worked here to train our boxers. Present at the signing ceremony were a delegation led by Kh.Gantsogt, the State Secretary of Mongolia's Ministry of Finance. B.Khuder
