MINISTRY SUPPORTS SPORTS FEDERATIONS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Some sports federations have received money from the government. The money--some 282 million togrog--will be granted as cash prizes to athletes and to organizers of the national championships. The federations received the money on Tuesday. Ten of them--for judo, free-style wrestling, gymnastics, shooting, football, boxing, athletics, volleyball, speed skating and archery--took the money for the cash prizes and actions expenses, others (for chess, taekwondo, weightlifting, basketball, national archery, international taekwondo, druaghts, table tennis, sambo, national wrestling, kurash, kick boxing, handball and swimming) were given each four million togrog for organizing national championships. "This is a big step ever done in history of Mongolia's sports," the secretary-general of Mongolia's Judo Federation M.Bokhbat said. He added that their federation has big aims--to host the World Youth Judo Championship and the Judo World Championship in Mongolia. B.Khuder
