The Ministerial Meeting Of The Coalition Against Daesh Kicks Off In Kuwait With Wide Int'l Participation

KUWAIT, (NINA): The Ministerial meeting of the International Coalition against Daesh kicked off on Tuesday morning with the participation of 74 members' countries and the international supporting organizations.
The meeting is part of the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq as part of ongoing international efforts and joint coordination in the fight against terrorism and follow-up of the strategy drawn up by the coalition to fight Daesh organization.
The meeting opens with a speech by Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, while US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will participate in the meeting and deliver a speech on the occasion.
The meeting will be divided into two sessions, the first of which will be held to discuss the latest developments of Daesh organization in Syria and Iraq. The second session will discuss the fight against terrorism in all regions of the world in general.
The coalition against Daesh, and more than three years have passed since its establishment, includes the United States, Britain, France, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Canada, Turkey, New Zealand and Australia. It also includes Arab countries represented in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Iraq, Jordan and Morocco, as well as many specialized international organizations.
The meeting was held today in Kuwait after a series of meetings held by the coalition periodically over the past years, as the first meetings of the coalition was held in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2014 at the level of foreign ministers, then agreed the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and Oman to fight the organization through several measures, including work to stop the flow of funds and fighters to him.
The Conference of the Reconstruction of Iraq, which is held in the framework of the fight against (Daesh) launched on Monday in Kuwait and will continue until Wednesday with the participation of more than 70 countries and 1850 companies and a number of international and regional organizations led by five bodies, the European Union, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Nations and the World Bank .
The conference aims to mobilize momentum to alleviate the suffering of the millions of displaced and affected Iraqis who are victims of the war on terrorism as well as the reconstruction of areas liberated from terrorism and areas in need of assistance./ End
