Minister: Iran negotiating with oil buyers at NAM summit

Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi has said that the country is negotiating with oil buyers, mainly India, African and Central Asian states, on future oil export conditions.
Speaking to reporters during the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran, Qasemi said that some OPEC members and Iranian oil buyers are present at the summit. Their attendance is of high importance for us and we are in talks with them on oil issues, the Fars news agency reported.
The NAM member states account for some 57 per cent of global oil exports.
The NAM oil exporting members export some 35 million barrels of oil per day which is around 57 per cent of the total volume of global oil exports.
There are around 130 countries in the list of oil exporting countries with a total export volume of around 62 million barrels per day.
Most of the top global oil exporters, namely Saudi Arabia, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Nigeria, Venezuela, Iraq, Algeria, Angola, Oman, Indonesia and Libya, are among the NAM members.
More than 50 countries which are NAM members have exported oil or oil products in the past year. NAM states earned around 1565 billion dollars' worth of exporting oil and oil products in 2011.
