Military commissariats disbanded in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 14 / Trend / Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to apply the law on "Military Duty and Military Service". According to the document, the Azerbaijani Military Commissariat, the Military Commissariat of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the regional and city commissariats under the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry are disbanded. The Azerbaijani state service on the mobilisation and conscription was established. According to the decree, the Azerbaijani state service on the mobilisation and conscription within two months must submit proposals for the structure of the service, the total number of military staff, employees and a list of senior officers to the President. The Cabinet of Ministers was charged with preparing the proposals within three months to coordinate the laws of the Azerbaijani Republic and acts of the Azerbaijani President with the law on 'Military Duty and Military Service' and submit to the Azerbaijani President. This will ensure the normative acts of Cabinet of Ministers coordinate with the law and to inform the Azerbaijani President. Arzu Rahimov was appointed head of the Azerbaijani state service on mobilisation and conscription upon President Aliyev's decree. He previously headed the State Migration Service.
