Meeting held with UN Resident Coordinator

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Mr. S.Amarsaikhan held a meeting yesterday with UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia Mr. Tapan Mishra. Mr. Tapan Mishra congratulated the Government of Mongolia on vaccinating about 80 percent of its target population with the COVID-19 vaccine. He also thanked for starting vaccination for foreign nationals residing in Mongolia. During the meeting, it was agreed to hand over to the Government of Mongolia the UN-initiated website – www.covidmongolia.mn, which could serve as One-Stop-Shop to all COVID-19 related information including health crisis and impacts on people and businesses in Mongolia and to work together to provide timely information about the COVID-19 to the citizens. The sides also concurred to intensify the activities of the integrated coordination group which was formed to ensure more effective and efficient coordination for response to the challenging COVID-19 crisis.
