M.BATCHIMEG MP RECEIVES CANADIAN DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A member of the State Great Khural (parliament) M.Batchimeg received Mr Alain Gendron, the North East Asia Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada /DFAIT/ on January 5. The sides shared views on North East Asia cooperation and on security issues, and talked about developing of Mongolia-Canada relations in these directions and activating the ties between two parliaments. Mr Gendron said new opportunities have become available to enrich our relationship since Mongolia's joining the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe /OSCE/. M.Batchimeg MP agreed with Mr Gendron and underlined an importance of the ties and economical cooperation established between Mongolia and its Third neighbours. She also said that the foreign investors, who take part in the biggest projects here, must make their activities transparent, provide our society with balanced and real information, and increase their responsibility. The 40th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Mongolia and Canada is to be marked this year. Ch.Enkhtuya
