Marshal of Senate meets teachers and students

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Visiting Marshal of the Senate of Poland Mr Bogdan Borusewicz met Tuesday the Polish language teachers and students of the Department of Slavic Studies at Mongolia's State University (MSU). Present at this meeting were also Mr Tadeush Homitsky, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Mongolia, and others. Thanking the Marshal for visiting the university, the MSU director for training affairs B.Ochirkhuyag said that the Foreign Language School is one of the oldest schools at the MSU, some 1,400 students are studying at the school to learn 15 foreign languages. He hoped that the Mongolia-Poland long-year traditional cooperation will expand, and expressed a willingness to collaborate with Poland in the educational sector. In response, Mr Borusewicz said that Mongolia has become a good example of democracy, "so we always grateful to cooperate with Mongolia, I really hope that our cooperation will widen further." Mr Homitsky said that their side intends to grant summer vacation scholarship to the Mongolian students who study in Poland. Then the Polish delegation presented books and textbooks about Poland. The MSU began to teach Polish language since 1992, some 80 students have graduated from the Polish language class. As of today, 11 students are majoring in the Polish.
