Libya eager to cooperate with Turkey

TRIPOLI (A.A) - January 24, 2012 - Libya's transport minister has said that Turkey has recorded great progress in the transportation area in the recent years and they were eager to see Turkish investors in Libya. Speaking to AA correspondent in Tripoli, Libyan Transport Minister Yousef Al Wahaishi said that Libya had a great economic potential for local and foreign investors in the transportation sector. Libya would focus on railway, sea transportation, highway and air transportation in the coming period, he said. Wahaishi said that they needed new agreements and new companies for new investments in the restructuring process. Libya was grateful to Turkey for its support during this process, he said.  Libya was eager to cooperate with Turkey in the transportation area, the minister said. Wahaishi said he would pay a visit to Turkey next month to hold talks.
