Kyrgyzstan, Turkey plan to strengthen trade and economic cooperation

Bishkek, May 21, 2021. / Kabar /. Director of the Third Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Dzhusupov met with Ambassador of Turkey to the Kyrgyz Republic Akhmet Sadik Dogan. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for bilateral strategic cooperation, including upcoming contacts at the highest and high levels, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. At the beginning of the meeting, Dzhusupov noted with satisfaction the existing very high level of the Kyrgyz-Turkish political dialogue at all levels and noted the attention paid by the head of state Sadyr Zhaparov to strengthening strategic cooperation with Turkey. Dogan confirmed the deep interest of the Turkish side to further develop active cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. An exchange of views took place on issues of interaction in the field of social development and cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In this context, Dogan assured the Kyrgyz side of the sooner opening of the Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship. The sides also discussed issues of expanding the legal framework of relations in order to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, to significantly increase trade turnover, build up investment cooperation, and implement projects of interest to both countries.
