Kyrgyzstan, Turkey intend to sign agreement on co-op in field of security

A bilateral meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov and his Turkish counterpart Suleyman Soylu was held on Sunday in Turkey’s Istanbul, the press service of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry said. During the meeting, Niyazbekov emphasized the brotherly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, and also noted the invaluable services of leaders of the two friendly countries in the development of bilateral relations with a common history, language and culture. Along with this, he noted the positive dynamics of increasing cooperation between the Internal Ministries of the two countries, and also informed about the ongoing reform of Kyrgyzstan’s Internal Ministry. Particular attention was paid to the introduction of the latest information technologies and automation. In turn, Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey emphasized the importance of cooperation and the establishment of relations between the ministries in the fight against crime, and confirmed the readiness to accelerate the process of signing an agreement on cooperation between the departments.
