Kyrgyzstan is one of important states for work within OSCE - Ann Linde

Bishkek, April 13, 2021. / Kabar /. The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Venice Commission will continue to help Kyrgyzstan in improving its constitutional order and democratic principles, visiting OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde told on the results of talks with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev. She stressed that the OSCE supports Kyrgyzstan in observing all the necessary requirements in the conduct of the upcoming parliamentary elections. “Kyrgyzstan is one of the important states for work within the OSCE. I hope that our Program Office in Bishkek will continue its work, which is based on three dimensions: military-political, economic and environmental, as well as on the protection of human rights. I think we will also continue our work on prioritization,” she said. The head of the OSCE drew attention to the OSCE Academy in Kyrgyzstan. She stressed that the Academy is a flagship in Central Asia that promotes education in the region in the field of security and peacebuilding.
