Kyrgyzstan to consider opening diplomatic mission in Ulaanbaatar

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met in New York with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh and Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. Foreign Minister Kazakbaev congratulated the Mongolian president on election as head of the friendly state and conveyed best wishes from Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Zhaparov. "In addition, the sides noted the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation," the report said. The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for upgrading the status of the Consulate General of Mongolia in Kyrgyzstan to the status of the Embassy of Mongolia with a residence in Bishkek, and expressed readiness to consider opening a diplomatic mission in Ulaanbaatar in the near future. In conclusion, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kazakbaev invited the Mongolian counterpart to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
