Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh eye to increase volume of bilateral trade turnover

Tashkent, Jan. 27, 2021. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov met with newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Tashkent Mohammad Zahangir Alam, the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Tashkent reported. During the courtesy visit, the two ambassadors discussed the current state and prospects for further strengthening of Kyrgyz-Bangladeshi relations. They paid special attention to further expansion of trade, economic and investment ties by increasing bilateral trade turnover, as well as implementation of joint projects in agriculture, textile industry and tourism. The sides noted the necessity to deepen cooperation in the spheres of culture and education, in particular within the twin-cities of the two countries. Ibrahim Junusov congratulated his counterpart on appointment and wished him success in work, while stressing the importance of development and strengthening of multifaceted relations between the two countries. Zahangir Alam extended congratulations to the people of Kyrgyzstan over successful presidential elections and referendum, emphasizing that Bangladesh attaches special importance to further strengthening of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. During the talks other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
